“Keep on Smilin’ and Keep on Slayin’!”
This saying/slogan/motto was created on accident…
2015 – 2016 was rough for me mentally. Because of this, I produced videos for myself on Snapchat and Instagram. My “motivational speeches” and “have a great day rants” were mainly for me to see that every moment and every day is a process of healing. But I would make it. Then instinctually, I started to add “Keep on Smiling” to every video which leads to me saying “Keep on slayin’.”
At the moment, I didn’t think about what that truly meant. But internally this is MY definition of Slayin’ –
Slayin’ (verb.) – the act of rewiring your mindset throughout the day and seeing life from different perspectives. Remembering what you are grateful for each and every moment in life since we only have one life to live. Regardless of the negativity brought throughout the day, you find a way to:
- Feel that bump in the road
- React to that bump
- Learn from that obstacle
- Lastly, keep moving forward towards your goal in mind.
From then on, many people gravitated towards this. People would bring this up to me and remember me by it. Now, I still use it for myself as well as hope to impact other lives in the most positive way possible. This is what APasion Lifestyle is about. Not only finding your fittest but also learning to love and bet on yourself.
